      About Sandy Hill

      • Is a modern urban neighbourhood located just east of the downtown area and is bordered by the Rideau River and Canal. This part of ottawa is home to many embassies, residences and parks with close proximity to University of Ottawa.

      Neighbourhood Demographic 

      • Unusual among modern urban neighbourhoods, Sandy Hill demographics change dramatically within a few blocks. With very well off people living near the embaises along the Rideau River all the way to students, senior citizen and new immigrant who have a much more diversified levels of income.

      Transit / Parking 

      • Transit in Sandy Hill is great considering you are a short walk to one of the biggest bus stations in the city, located at Rideau mall. There are ample amounts of buss the go directly through sandy hil. Here is the Map of Mackenzie King Station. 
      • Residence in Sandy Hill will have easy access to the new train Confederation Otrain that will run from Tunney’s Pasture all the way to Blair. This Train allows you to get across the city with eas.


      Amenities 

      • One of the best parts about Sandy Hill is its accessibility to the downtown, Byward market area of Ottawa. With that being said there are many bars, restaurants and activities for you and the family. You are only a quick walk to Rideau Mall, Sparks St. and Parliament Hill. As for the essential amenities you have there is the Byward Fruit Market, Metro, Loblaws and Market Organic. Additionally for all your drug store needs you can stop by Rexall Pharma Plus, Shoppers Drug Mart aabd Astley’s pharmasave. As for outdoor park activity Strathcona Park along the Rideau River has got you covered.


      Schools

      • There are a few schools in the area such as Sandy Hill Child Care, Bettye Hyde Cooperative Early Learning Centre, Viscount Alexander Public School, Francojeunesse Public School, Conseil Des Ecoles Publiques , Youville Center, Le Cordon Bleu Ottawa Culinary Arts Institute and the University of Ottawa.
