      About Hintonburg

      • Hintonburg is located in the Kitchissippi Ward of Ottawa, west of the Downtown core. It is a dyvers beautiful, historic and creative neighbourhood of Ottawa. Located near Downtown Ottawa, Chinatown and Little Italy.

      Neighbourhood Demographic

      • This area of Ottawa has been historical a working class neighborhood with a large commercial strip running along Welling st. West. Due to the location of Hintonburg is attracts a large variety of residences into its area. Both students and professionals looking to live in an culturally rich neighbourhood.

      Transit / Parking 

      • The OC Transpo in this area is great considering it runs along of the busiest bus routes far ways in ottawa. Running along Albert St. are several stops from several different busses lines which can take you across town. You will also be within walking distance of the Otrain Trillium line running north to south and the new Otrain confederation line going from the east to west part of Ottawa.


      Amenities 

      • There are a few small grocery stores close by: the NU Grocery, Marche Hintonburg Market, Herb & Spice Shop Wellington and Di Rienzo’s Grocery. For your drug store needs there are a few in the area, Rexall Pharma Plus, Pharmasave Victoria and Preston Medial Guardian Pharmacy.
      • As for recreational times Laroche Park, hintonburg Park, Parkdale park and Plouffe Park are a great place to spend time at. There is also the Hintonburg Community Center and a great neighbourhood for strolls along its historic streets.


      Schools 

      • There is a diverse range of school in the Hintonburg area. Starting from the Beehive Studio, Parkdale Montessori and Heritage Academy. Additionally there is the Devonshire Community Public School, Connaught Public School, École Élémentaire Catholique Saint-François-D'Assise and Adult High School.
