      About Orleans

      • It is a suburban area of Ottawa located along the eastern side of the city running along the Ottawa River. Orleans is a fastly growing neighbourhood located about 16 km from the city core, downtown area. With charm, and character Orleans is waiting for you with its welcoming neighbours and quality schools.

      Neighbourhood Demographic 

      • Orleans has a strong french speaking demographic that is every growing. As an Ottawa suburb Orleans attracts many working families that are attracted to its many schools and proximity to the core of Ottawa. Orleans offers a more diverse variety of living situations with condo, apartments and single family homes.

      Transit / Parking 

      • Orleans is filled with many bus routes taking you all across Ottawa. It has a very large bus terminal called Place d'Orleans which many if not all of the Oc Transpo bus stop at. There are busses coming through this terminal and throughout Orleans every 15 - 30 minutes in peak hours. Check out this link for bus route numbers and the station layout. 


      Amenities 

      • As a community filled with families means there is a lot of amenities for your convenience and to keep the family busy. There are several large grocery stores, drug stores and what ever else your heart desires to purchase. As for the recreation Orleans is decently close to Calypso the biggest water park in Ottawa. Additionally the are several parks and 3 Recreation centers throughout the neighbourhood to keep the kids active.


      Schools 

      • As a family centered neighbourhood there are many options for the institution you wish to educate your children. There are 11 english catholic school, about 16 French Catholic schools, 6 or so French public schools and around 12 English public schools. These numbers include both Elementary and High School in the Orleans, Ottawa area.
